Abstract (en)

[origin: WO9005465A1] A ski boot has a rear part (3) which can be bent or folded back to permit rear entry, a lower shell (1) and an upper (4) which swivels relative to the lower shell (1). The swivelling upper (4) has a flap (5) which extends backward towards the rear part along the periphery of the upper (4) and which overlaps the outside of the upper (4) in a region facing the toe of the boot perpendicular to the longitudinal median plane of the boot. The free end region of the flap (5) can be connected to the upper (4) at various vertical positions. The flap (5) has a tunnel-shaped protuberance (7) in its free end region. A fastening element for attaching a strap-shaped clamping element (6) is arranged on the upper (4) in the region of the tunnel-shaped protuberance (7). The width of the clamping element (6) is less than the open width of the tunnel-shaped protuberance (7). The flap (5) can therefore be attached to the upper (4) independently of the closing forces exerted by the clamping element (6).
