Abstract (en)

[origin: JPH0375146A] PURPOSE: To enable rotating of a printing plate on a plate cylinder for register correction without suspending a printing process during mechanical operation by providing a clamping force transmitting element between one of axially fitted levers and a cylinder body and making the element displaceable by an adjusting means. CONSTITUTION: In order to correct a register, both clamping rails 10, 11 are axially fitted to both end parts through each of axially fitted levers 13, 14. The axially fitted levers 13, 14 are pivotally supported, in a reely gyrating manner, by pivotal support pins 15 in a groove 12 formed on a cylinder body 2. In this invention, a clamping force transmitting element, and a flexible rod 27 to the advantage are provided between the axially fitted lever 13 and the cylinder body 2. The flexible rod 27 is displaceable by an adjusting means. In this case, the adjusting means may be a motor 28 for adjustment. Since tensile force to be induced when the flexible rod 27 is displaced is extremely high, it is possible to rotate a printing plate in such a state that the plate is clamped on the cylinder body 2.
