[origin: EP0401506A2] In a pallet, which is particularly suitable for transporting and/or storing vehicle tyres, having a bottom part (2) and two side parts (4, 6) which are located opposite one another and can be attached to the bottom part (2) in particular vertically, at least one pair of rod-type parallel bearing elements (8) for the vehicle tyres is arranged between the side parts (4, 6). The bearing elements (8) have a predeterminable spacing from the bottom part and a smaller spacing from one another than the outside diameter of the vehicle tyres to be accommodated. With the aid of a pallet of this type, the deformation of the lowest layers of tyres due to the weight of layers of tyres lying above it is prevented and a great packing density is achieved inside the pallet. <IMAGE>
