Abstract (en)
For the purpose of improved adaptability to different local loading, the lower mattress contains U-shaped profiles (4) which are attached in the longitudinal direction to a rectangular frame, reinforced by transverse bars (9), and to the webs of which support elements made of an elastomer are attached which bear resting plates (13) projecting laterally over the limbs of the U-shaped profiles (4) to support an upper mattress. <??>In order to achieve a spring constant which increases stepwise with the deformation, the support elements can be made up in each case of an outer tubular portion and an inner tubular portion surrounded by the latter, which portions are connected at the resting region of the support element. The tubular portions lie transversely relative to the U-shaped profile bearing the support element. <??>Only one tubular portion may also be provided, in which a spring element (e.g. rubber cylinder, foam cylinder, helical spring) is inserted for reinforcement. <??>Between layers of textile, the upper mattress contains spring elements made of an elastomer which consist of tubular portions stacked one above the other and fixedly connected to one another and have resting surfaces at both ends. Individual tubular portions have connecting parts to produce snap-on connections with adjacent spring elements. <IMAGE>
The mattress comprises an upper and lower parts, with support elements in the plane of a frame and connected to it. The support elements are top-open, U-shaped profiles (4) and provided on their web (6) with elastic support elements which, in the relieved and normal load state, project over the profile shanks. The U-shaped profiles are pref. algined parallel to the longitudinal direction of the frame. The frame may have at least one transverse support (9), to which the profiles can be attached on each side.
