[origin: EP0401881A2] A needle print head with armature electromagnets (3, 4, 5) which are arranged in an annular arrangement in a metal body (1). The armature (5) is mounted so as to be swivellable in a spacer (70, 71, 71A) and electromagnets (3, 4; 3A, 4A) are arranged in mirror image on both sides of the armature (5), of which electromagnets one serves in each case as return electromagnet. An actuation switch for the attraction and return electromagnets (3, 4; 3A, 4A) is disclosed. High print accuracy and speed are achieved. <IMAGE>
