[origin: EP0401945A1] A device is described for the storage and delivery of coins, which has at least one magazine insert (27) in the form of a ring rotatably mounted about a vertical axis and containing a plurality of radially extending compartments (34) distributed uniformly in circumferential direction and each intended for receiving a coin, a bottom (25) arranged fixedly under the magazine insert and having orifices (45, 46) for the delivery of coins received in the magazine insert, and an input device for the controllable input of coins into the magazine insert. The input device forms a coin guide track (8) extending vertically laterally of the magazine insert and having controllable coin deflection elements for the lateral introduction of a coin into a compartment of the magazine insert. For delivering the coins there are slots extending radially in the bottom each intended for the passage of a coin, in such a way that the delivery of coins takes place only as result of an appropriate rotation of the magazine insert. For the delivery of coins through the different slots, the magazine insert is preferably rotatable in opposite directions. Advantageously, two magazine inserts are arranged next to one another and assigned to the same coin guide track. <IMAGE>
