Abstract (en)
The continuous single-screw press of the invention comprises a cylindrical liquid-permeable enclosure, inside which there turns a pressure screw (25) constituted by the alternate assembly of helical screw sections (20) and spacer rings (21), delimiting the successive chambers for compression and transfer of the product. In characteristic manner, it comprises at least one penetration body, for example a piston (22), which penetrates inside the cylindrical enclosure preferably in a zone situated at right angles to a spacer ring (21) and the axis of which has an angular offset in relation to a radial position. This offset can be in the longitudinal direction or in the transverse direction of the press, or a combination of these two directions. The angular offset makes it possible to improve the mixing of the product. <IMAGE>
