[origin: FR2640384A1] The invention concerns an ionization-type combustion gas detector comprising a reference (4, 5) chamber and an analysis chamber (2, 1) at least partly open to be outside, whereby said chambers are provided with a radioactive source and are mounted in a circuit connected to at least one alarm system so that the latter is activated by a variation in the impedance of the analysis chamber due to the presence of a combustion gas in said chamber. According to the invention, the detector is unusual in that each radioactive source is in the form of a plate (9) made from a material with a very low radioactivity per surface unit, such as thorium 232, which is advantageously emissive on both its sides and as a result is placed between the two chambers.

L'invention concerne un détecteur de gaz de combustion à ionisation, comportant une chambre de référence (4, 5) et une chambre d'analyse (2, 1) au moins en partie ouverte vers l'extérieur, qui sont pourvues d'une source radioactive et qui sont montées dans un circuit relié à au moins un système d'alarme de manière que celui-ci soit actionné par une variation d'impédance de la chambre d'analyse due à la présence de gaz de combustion dans ladite chambre d'analyse. Le détecteur selon l'invention est remarquable en ce que chaque source radioactive se présente sous la forme d'une plaquette (9) d'un matériau de très faible radioactivité par unité de surface, tel que du thorium 232, qui est avantageusement émissive sur ses deux faces et qui est alors aménagée entre les deux chambres.
