The invention relates to the production of highly compressed papers containing synthetic fibres and having a density equal to or greater than 0.9 kg/dm<3>, the paper web of a mixture of cellulose and thermoplastic synthetic fibres in the ratio of 50:50 to 90:10 at a freeness of 35 to 75 SR being surface-sized, if appropriate, with addition of sizing agents, retention agents and wet-strength agents and subsequently being subjected in a separate working step to glazing at surface temperatures of the calender rolls equal to or greater than 100 DEG C and linear roll pressures equal to or greater than 30 kN/m.

Die Erfindung betrifft die Herstellung synthesefaserhaltiger hochverdichteter Papiere mit einem Raumgewicht gleich oder größer 0,9 kg/dm³, wobei die Papierbahn aus einem Gemisch von Zelllstoff und thermoplastischen Synthesefasern im Verhältnis 50 : 50 bis 90 : 10 mit einem Mahlgrad von 35 bis 75 SR unter Zusatz von Leimungs-, Retentions- und Naßfestmitteln und ggfs. oberflächengeleimt wird und anschließend in einem separaten Arbeitsgang einer Satinage bei Oberflächentemperaturen der Kalanderwalzen gleich oder größer 100°C und linearer Walzendrücke gleich oder größer 30 kN/m unterzogen wird.
