[origin: EP0402625A1] By the continuous operation of a stepping motor as a drive for a gas-metering pump, it is possible to produce exact mixtures of several components, to change the mixture ratio when required and to vary the total throughput via the stepping speed. The stepping motor can be activated via computer or SPC (stored- program controller). Calibration operations, comparative-gas production, sample preparation and recipe production can thereby be fully automated.
