[origin: EP0402940A2] A method for mixing textile fibres, in which fibres of different types are stripped from fibre bales of different origins and mixed, is characterised in that: I at least the following particulars are entered in a computer: a) the properties of the fibres of the individual components, and b) the desired properties of the card slither or yarn produced from the fibre mixture; II the computer calculates from these parameters, according to a predetermined computing algorithm, a component division which, with a minimised deviation from the desired card slither or the yarn properties, satisfies these at least approximately, and, where appropriate, executes a correction of the calculated component division, taking into account any boundary conditions or special requirements likewise entered in the computer, and calculates a corrected component division, III the component division or corrected component division determined by the computer is utilised in order to set or regulate the feed of the individual components at the mixer, in order to obtain the calculated and, if appropriate, corrected component division in the fibre mixture delivered by the mixer. <IMAGE>
