Abstract (en)

The invention relates to the powder coating of an object having plane surface portions and non-plane surface portions. The method consists in disposing a layer of particles over an insulating support (2) placed opposite the object, in fluidising this layer of particles and in creating an electrostatic field between the support (2) and the object. It is characterised in that the particles are subjected to the action of an electrostatic field generating lines of force for entraining the said particles, which are adapted in order to direct them towards the plane surfaces of the object, and in that the trajectory of the particles is modified by means of at least one fluid jet oriented so as to direct the said particles towards the non-plane surfaces of the object. <IMAGE>
