Abstract (en)

The appliance, of the phase + neutral protective switch kind, possesses a phase circuit and a neutral circuit electrically isolated by a central partition, the lock mechanism, of the type with toggle, comprising a manoeuvering member (31) actuating a connecting-rod (35) able to thrust back the contact(s)-holder (36) via a thrust surface (41) into a slot in the head of the contact(s)-holder, the contacts (11, 28) being positioned outside the contact(s)-holder possessing two downward foot-shaped extensions, a catch (49) normally keeping the connecting-rod bearing on the thrust surface, this catch being able to be released by a release lever (55) articulated at its centre, and driven by a tripping coil or a bimetallic strip, and driving the contact(s) with enhanced speed. <IMAGE>
