[origin: WO9007313A1] A baby diaper has a forward portion, a rearward portion and attachment tabs mounted on opposite sides of both the forward and rearward portions. An expansion means in the form of elastic material is mounted on the forward portion between the oppositely located tabs on the forward portion and substantially centrally of the tabs to thereby allow for stomach movement of the infant and to create a connection between the tabs which has greater integrity. Additional elastic material is mounted in the central area between the forward and rearward portions which is pretensioned to allow for the diaper to assume a cup shape when it is unrestrained prior to positioning the diaper on an infant.

La couche pour bébé décrite comprend une partie antérieure et une partie postérieure et des languettes d'attache montées sur des côtés opposés à la fois de la partie antérieure et de la partie postérieure. Un organe à expansion en forme de matériau élastique est monté sur la partie antérieure entre les languettes opposées de la partie antérieure et essentiellement au centre des languettes, pour permettre les mouvements de l'estomac de l'enfant et pour établir une liaison plus solidaire entre les languettes. Un matériau élastique supplémentaire, qui est monté dans la zone centrale entre la partie antérieure et la partie postérieure, est prétendu pour permettre à la couche d'adopter une position en forme de coupe, lorsqu'elle est détendue, avant son placement sur l'enfant.
