Abstract (en)
[origin: JPH0327128A] PURPOSE: To optimize the cleaning strength to a level of necessity relating to the final product by arranging a carding element having different types or sizes of clothing elements to be movable between the working position and the rest position. CONSTITUTION: A carbon element 3 having a polygonal cross section is arranged to the carding or cleaning roller 1 so that it may be movable in the direction of the arrows 15, 16 toward or away from the roller and is made rotatable in the direction of the arrow 17. Different types and/or sizes of clothing elements 14.1, 14.2, 14.3, 14.4 are formed on the outer face of the carding element 3 and one of them opposes to the clothing element 12 on the peripheral face of the roller 1.
