Abstract (en)

In an ink ribbon (1) impregnated with ink for printing on a print medium (2) on a platen (4) by driving print wires (3) so as to strike the platen (4), the fabric of the ink ribbon (1) is formed by interweaving vertical and horizontal strands, and the ratio of densities of said vertical and horizontal strands lies in the range 0.70 - 1.43.
