[origin: WO8908756A1] A roofing sheet comprises a projecting corrugation (11, 12) at each one of two opposite side edges. One corrugation (12) is adapted to be positioned over the opposite corrugation (11) of an adjacent sheet (10), so that several sheets (10) can be positioned adjacent each other with the corrugations (11, 12) overlapping and holding each other. One flange portion (13) of the lower corrugation (11) is provided with a groove (15) and the other flange portion (14) is provided with a support portion (16). One flange portion (20) of the upper corrugation (12) is provided with a rib (22) and the other flange portion (19) is provided with a portion (21) adapted to bear on the support portion (16). The rib (22) is adapted to engage in the groove (15), so that the rib and the groove form a hinge. In that way, a sheet having an upper corrugation can easily be turned around a lower corrugation, until a tight contact has been provided between the corrugations. The free edge of the upper corrugation can be bent outwards or inwards to form the hinge.

La tôle de toiture décrite comporte une cannelure saillante (11, 12) au niveau de chacun de ses deux bords latéraux opposés. L'une des cannelures (12) est destinée à être placée sur la cannelure opposée (11) d'une tôle adjacente (10), de sorte que plusieurs tôles (10) peuvent être disposées adjacentes les unes par rapport aux autres, les cannelures (11, 12) se chevauchant et se maintenant l'une à l'autre. Une partie de rebord (13) de la cannelure inférieure (11) présente une rainure (15) et l'autre partie de rebord (14) est pourvue d'une partie de support (16). Une partie de rebord (20) de la cannelure supérieure (12) est pourvue d'une nervure (22) et l'autre partie de rebord (19) est pourvue d'une partie (21) destinée à s'appuyer sur la partie de support (16). La nervure (22) est destinée à s'engager dans la rainure (15), de sorte que la nervure et la rainure forment une articulation. Ainsi, une tôle ayant une cannelure supérieure peut facilement pivoter autour d'une cannelure inférieure jusqu'à ce qu'un contact serré soit établi entre les cannelures. Le bord libre de la cannelure supérieure peut être recourbé vers l'extérieur ou vers l'intérieur pour former l'articulation.
