The invention relates to a process for the manufacture of decorative surfaces on metal bases, in particular noble-metal parts, using a resist mask preferably applied by the screen printing process, in which the resist-free metal areas are hollowed out in the case of an acid-resistant and nonconducting resist mask by etching (etching bath), or, especially for platinum, using an abrasion tool, and the recesses are then filled with metal, in particular noble metal, in an electroplating bath. This yields a joint to a flat surface which is durable even for the purpose of further processing. Fast-depositing electroplating baths are especially suitable for this purpose.

Die Erfindung bezieht sich auf ein Verfahren zur Herstellung von Dekorflächen auf Grundmetallen, insbesondere Edelmetallteilen mittels vorzugsweise im Siebdruckverfahren aufgebrachter Lackmaske, wobei die lackfreien Metallflächen bei säureresistender und nichtleitender Lackmaske durch Äzten (Ätzbad) oder vor allem für Platin mittels Abtragungswerkzeug vertieft und anschließend die Vertiefungen im galvanischen Bad mit Metall, insbesondere Edelmetall aufgefüllt werden. Dies ergibt eine auch zur Weiterverarbeitung haltbare Verbindung mit ebener Oberfläche. Hierzu eignen sich vorallem schnellabscheidende, galvanische Bäder.
