[origin: EP0405160A1] In the case of a screw spindle pump (10) with drive spindle (18) arranged in the internal chamber (12) of a pump housing (14) and at least one sealed spindle (16) axially parallel to this together with an intake (76) and an outlet (78) for a flow medium to be delivered by the spindles (16, 18), the spindles (16, 18) are enclosed by a tubular housing insert (64), which with the pump housing (14) enveloping it defines at least one annular chamber (15) connected to the internal chamber (12) accommodating the spindles by at least one through hole (68).
