[origin: EP0405337A2] The protected connector (1) is provided with fork-shaped spring contacts (9) whose side limbs are cut from flat material and can be deflected in a resilient manner in the plane of the material. Their sprung ends are immersed in slot-like recesses (10) in a housing of the protected connector (1). Over-voltage suppressors (6) are provided with pin-like, radially projecting connecting pins (7), which can be inserted between the limbs of the spring contacts (9).
