The invention relates to a headlight for a vehicle, in particular for a bicycle, having a light source 2 which is surrounded by an ellipsoidal reflector 1 from which the light beams pass to a lens 3 through which the light beams emerge towards the roadway, the lens 3 and/or the emergent principal beam bundle filling only a part of the headlight front face 4, and at least one residual area 5 of the headlight front surface having at least one retroreflector 6 which reflects extraneous light incident onto the headlight front surface from ahead into the incident directions. <IMAGE>

Die Erfindung betrifft einen Scheinwerfer für ein Fahrzeug, insbesondere für ein Zweirad mit einer Lichtquelle 2, die von einem ellipsoiden Reflektor 1 umgeben ist, von dem die Lichtstrahlen zu einer Linse 3 gelangen, durch die die Lichtstrahlen zur Fahrbahn hin austreten, wobei die Linse 3 und/oder das austretende Hauptstrahlbündel nur einen Teil der Scheinwerferfrontfläche 4 ausfüllt und mindestens eine Restfläche 5 der Scheinwerferfrontfläche mindestens einen Rückstrahler 6 aufweist, der von vorn auf die Scheinwerferfrontfläche auftreffendes Fremdlicht in die Einfallsrichtungen reflektiert.
