An offset printing unit has a blanket cylinder, a plate cylinder, a forme inking cylinder, having a resilient operating surface, which cylinders are all driven at the same rotational speed, and a screen roller feeding ink to the forme inking cylinder. In order to avoid a slipping movement between the plate cylinder and the forme inking cylinder, the forme inking cylinder has a diameter of about 99% of the diameter of the plate cylinder. The forme inking cylinder has a coating made of an elastic, ink-receptive material, the thickness of which coating is 2 to 3% of the diameter of the forme inking cylinder and which has a Shore hardness of 60 to 70 DEG . Ein Offsetdruckwerk weist einen Gummituchzylinder, einen Plattenzylinder, einen eine nachgiebige Arbeitsoberfläche aufweisenden Farbauftragzylinder, die sämtlich mit gleicher Drehzahl angetrieben sind, und eine dem Farbauftragzylinder Farbe zuführende Rasterwalze auf. Um eine Schleifbewegung zwischen dem Plattenzylinder und dem Farbauftragzylinder zu vermeiden, weist der Farbauftragzylinder einen Durchmesser von etwa 99 % des Durchmessers des Plattenzylinders auf. Auf den Farbauftragzylinder ist eine Schicht aus einem elastischen, farbannehmenden Material aufgebracht, deren Dicke 2 bis 3 % des Durchmessers des Farbauftragzylinders und deren Härte 60 bis 70° Shore beträgt. Der Farbauftragzylinder ist zum Betrieb derart an den Plattenzylinder anstellbar, daß er über eine Länge von 7 bis 9 mm in Umfangsrichtung mit dem Plattenzylinder in Kontakt steht.
