So that a fitting of the relevant generic type can have an especially narrow construction and also be used for right-hand and left-hand fastening, whilst at the same time the load-bearing capacity is to be preserved in spite of the reduced width, there is used from its lower corner bearing (5) a supporting body (37) which is designed as a corner angle, and on which a bearing block (39) for the bearing journal (8) is mounted rotatably about an axis (38). To reduce the weight load, connected fixedly in terms of rotation to the bearing block (39) is a strip-shaped or angular stop element (50) which or the longer angle leg of which is directly preceded in each rotary end position by an angle leg (46, 47) of the supporting body. Um einen gattungsgemäßen Beschlag besonders schmal bauen und ihn auch für Rechts- und Linksanschlag verwenden zu können, wobei die Belastbarkeit trotz der verringerten Breite erhalten bleiben soll, wird bei seinem unteren Ecklager (5) ein als Eckwinkel ausgebildeter Tragkörper (37) verwendet, an dem um eine Achse (38) ein Lagerbock (39) für den Lagerzapfen (8) drehbar gelagert ist. Zur Reduzierung der Gewichtsbelastung ist mit dem Lagerbock (39) drehfest ein leisten- oder winkelförmiges Anschlagelement (50) verbunden, dem bzw. dessen längerer Winkelschenkel in jeder Drehendstellung ein Winkelschenkel (46, 47) des Tragkörpers unmittelbar vorgelagert ist. Das Anschlagglied (50) ist in jeder Drehendstellung mit dem zugeordneten Winkelschenkels des Tragkörpers drehfest verbindbar, beispielsweise durch eine in den Rahmenholm eingedrehte Befestigungsschraube.
