Terminal formed by a body (1) cut out and folded in order to assume a U-shape with a web and two flanges, together with, at one end, means (2, 4) for fixing it to an electrical conductor, whereas at its other end, the flanges of the U are extended, on the one hand, by two contact strips (6, 7) intended to grip tightly and elastically a corresponding male contact and, on the other hand, by two tabs (5 and 8) extending on either side of the contact strips (6, 8) characterised in that the tabs (5, 8) are formed by an extension of the free end of each contact strip (6, 7), in the vicinity of the means (2, 4) for fixing to an electrical conductor, each so-called extension extending over the entire length of the corresponding contact strip (6, 7) and being folded in order to be extended on the external face side of the said corresponding strip (6, 7). <IMAGE>

Organe de contact électrique femelle formé d'un corps (1) découpé et plié pour affecter la forme d'un U avec une âme et deux ailes, avec à une extrémité des moyens (2,4) pour sa fixation à un conducteur électrique, tandis qu'à son autre extrémité, les ailes du U sont prolongées, d'une part, par deux barrettes de contact (6, 7) destinées à enserrer élastiquement un organe de contact mâle correspondant et, d'autre part, par deux languettes (5 et 8) s'étendant de part et d'autre des barrettes de contact (6, 8) caractérisé en ce que les languettes (5, 8) sont formées par un prolongement du bord libre de chaque barrette de contact (6, 7), au voisinage des moyens de fixation à un conducteur électrique (2,4), chaque dit prolongement s'étendant sur toute la longueur de la barrette du contact (6,7) correspondante et étant pliée pour s'étendre du côté de la face externe de ladite barrette correspondante (6,7).
