[origin: WO8908588A1] A tamper evident band (16) is provided around an area of cooperation between a container mouth (18) and a closure cap (11). Sloping faces (15) and (24) on the container and cap respectively allow the cap, surrounded by the strip (16) to be pushed on to the container, but shoulders (14) and (23) prevent subsequent removal of the cap without first removing the band (16). When the band (16) is removed, the cap can expand radially when pulled upwardly to release the engagement between the shoulders (14) and (23), and so allow removal of the cap. The cap and band (16) may be moulded together from a plastics material, with the band (16) depending from the edge of the cap and being attached thereto by a frangible portion (17, Fig. 1). At some point prior to, or during the assembly with the container, the frangible portion is broken and the band (16) moved to surround the cap as shown.

Une bande (16) révélatrice de manipulations est agencée autour de la région de contact entre le goulot (18) d'un récipient et sa capsule de fermeture (11). Les biseaux (15) et (18) agencés sur le récipient et la capsule respectivement permettent d'enfoncer la capsule, entourée de la bande (16), sur le récipient, mais les épaules (14) et (23) empêchent d'enlever la capsule sans enlever d'abord la bande (16). Lorsque l'on enlève la bande (16), la capsule se dilate radialement lorsqu'on la tire vers le haut de manière à libérer l'engagement entre les épaules (14) et (23), ce qui permet d'enlever la capsule. La capsule et la bande (16) peuvent être formées d'une seule pièce de matière plastique, la bande (16) étant solidaire du bord de la capsule et y étant reliée par une section détachable (17, figure 1). On casse la partie détachable avant de fixer la capsule sur le récipient, ou pendant cette opération, et l'on déplace alors la bande (16) de manière à ce qu'elle entoure la capsule, comme le montre l'illustration.
