Abstract (en)

[origin: JPH0373748A] PURPOSE: To selectively form overlapped filings by driving cams to the carrying direction of a delivering conveyor and operating them on printed product at their rear edges fed via the delivering conveyor at a feed position, so that at least one of the following cams can be removed out of a position of operation on the printed products. CONSTITUTION: If following cams 36, 36' are not removed out of a position of operation on printed products 18, the printed products 18 are clamped at their rear edges and placed on preceding printed products 18 in the form of roof tiles to be fed. If the following cams 36, 36' are removed out of a position of operation on the printed products 18, two fed and overlapped printed products 18 are clamped by preceding cams 36, 36' for carriage and two overlapped printed products 18 are respectively placed on pairs of preceding printed products 18 in the form of roof tiles. In this case, the change of synchronization between a bucket wheel and a delivering conveyor as well as the speed of the operators 36, 36' are not required.
