Abstract (en)

[origin: EP0407766A1] A device (10) for the selectively controllable take-up of yarn carriers on flat knitting machines possesses a plurality of electromagnets which are connected fixedly in terms of movement to a slide unit and which are each assigned controllably a driver, the take-up finger (51) of which can be brought into and out of engagement with at least one associated yarn-carrier box (11) of a yarn carrier, moveable along yarn-carrier rails (12) in parallel with a needle-bed unit. In order, in such a device for the selectively controllable take-up of yarn carriers on flat knitting machines, to make the tranmission of movement from the electromagnet to the take-up finger (51) quicker and independent of the direction of movement of the slide unit, the electromagnet is surrounded by a frame element (43), from one end of which the take-up finger (51) projects centrally in the direction of movement and the other end of which can be loaded by an armature bar (33) of the electromagnet, and the frame element (43) is held on its two side legs so as to be guided in a longitudinally moveable manner. <IMAGE>
