In order to permit, in a high-pressure cleaning apparatus with a high-pressure pump, a pressure line (7) leading from said pump to a closable outlet (9), a bypass line (10) leading from said pressure line to the suction side of the pump and a closing valve (13) which closes the bypass line (10), automatic switching off of the pressure of the pump when the outlet (9) is closed, it is proposed that a flow detector (15,16,17) be arranged upstream of the outlet (9) and downstream of the branching off of the bypass line (10), which detector closes the closing valve (13) of the bypass line (10) when the outlet (9) is closed. <IMAGE>

Um bei einem Hochdruckreinigungsgerät mit einer Hochdruckpumpe, einer von dieser zu einem verschließbaren Auslaß (9) führenden Druckleitung (7), einer von dieser zur Saugseite der Pumpe führenden Bypass-Leitung (10) und einem die Bypass-Leitung (10) verschließenden Schließventil (13) eine automatische Druckabschaltung der Pumpe beim Verschließen des Auslasses (9) zu ermöglichen, wird vorgeschlagen, daß stromaufwärts des Auslasses (9) und stromabwärts der Abzweigung der Bypass-Leitung (10) ein Strömungswächter (15, 16, 17) vorgesehen ist, der das Schließventil (13) der Bypass-Leitung (10) verschließt, wenn der Auslaß (9) verschlossen ist.
