[origin: EP0407960A2] There are described antistatic synthetic bicomponent filaments of the core-sheath type with a core of enhanced electrical conductivity comprising a synthetic polymer in which solid, electrically conductive particles have been dispersed and with a sheath of enhanced conductivity comprising a fibre-forming polymer which contains one of the antistats known per se or a mixture thereof.
