CONSTITUTION: Printed products Dk which are partially overlapped and fed by a scale or a flake flow are carried in the carrying direction to be instructed at the speed v1 , a contact element K is moved at the speed v2 higher than the carrying speed v1 , and brought to a contact with a trailing edge of the printed product Dk or a fold Fk. Then, the terminating position of the contact element K is displaced in the carrying direction by the distance H from the starting position. The contact element K is returned to the starting position, and the counting process is re-started.
