[origin: WO8905133A1] A dressing with a pad (10) to be applied to a wound and consisting of a flexible, capillary-active material and stiffening elements. The stiffening elements extend at right angles to the flat side of the pad to be applied to the wound and are arranged to stabilise the volume of the pad (10) such that it can absorb a predeterminable amount of fluid, and to counteract and distribute forces acting on the pad (10). To form an occlusive dressing, the pad can be enclosed in a cover (11) of vapour-permeable, plastic film having a perforated portion (12) on the flat side of the pad facing the wound.

Le pansement décrit, qui est pourvu d'un tampon (10), est destiné à être appliqué sur une blessure et se compose d'un matériau flexible à action capillaire et d'éléments de renfort. Les éléments de renfort s'étendent à angles droits par rapport au côté plat du tampon destiné à être appliqué sur la blessure et servent à stabiliser le volume du tampon (10), pour qui'il puisse absorber une quantité prédéterminable de fluide, et à contrer et à répartir les forces agissant sur le tampon (10). Pour former un pansement occlusif, le tampon peut être enfermé dans une enveloppe (11) constituée par un film plastique perméable à la vapeur qui comporte une partie perforée (12) sur le côté plat du tampon faisant face à la blessure.
