Abstract (en)

[origin: WO8907575A1] A container (10) for storage, transport and dispensing of liquid chemicals uses a collapsable thin film pouch (12) which is sealed to a fitment (14) and is positioned within a bottle (16). The cap (20) provides an inner seal (60) and an outer seal (62) is removed and the container (10) is connected to either a manual (100) or an automated (200) dispensing system which includes a valve probe (110) which breaks the inner seal (60). In the manual system (100) the bottle (16) is inverted so that flow of liquid from the pouch (12) is gravity assisted. In the automated system (200), the container (10) is placed within a pressure vessel (208 and 210) and air pressure is applied both to the outside of the bottle (16) and also to the inside of the bottle (16) to assist in collapsing the pouch (12) and forcing the liquid out of the pouch (12).
