[origin: EP0408785A1] A window or door fitting has a handle (1) which is mounted rotatably in a bearing sleeve (3) by means of a neck bearing part (2) and which passes by means of an actuating-shaft extension (4) through a lock-actuating element (5) which is rotatably mounted in a fitting housing (7) fastened in a rebate recess (6) and which is axially fixed by means of a holding collar (8) moveable radially outwards counter to a spring effect and penetrating into an annular groove (9). A rose-free embodiment allowing a simple mounting and dismounting of the handle is characterised in that the bearing sleeve (3) is inserted into a wing bore (10) and the holding collar (8) consists of a holding slide which is mounted horizontally displaceably in the fitting housing (7) and which can be pressed out of the annular groove (9), provided on the actuating-shaft extension (4), via at least one rebate-located orifice (13) in the fitting housing (7). <IMAGE>
