[origin: EP0408835A1] The rotatable central structure (3) of a roundabout supports extension arms (15) which extend radially outwards and which are pivoted into alternating high and oblique positions by an eccentric device (8) at the rate of rotation of the central structure. Suspended on the free ends of the extension arms (15) are oscillating arms (21), the effective oscillating length of which is coordinated with the operating speed of the central structure in such a way that, at the operating speed, the passenger carriers (23) attached to the oscillating arms (21) are excited in a free oscillating movement. These passenger carriers (23) have outwardly directed passenger seats (24), so that the passengers experience, in addition to the oscillating movements, tangential accelerations and decelerations as well as vertical up-and-down movements. <IMAGE>
