The invention relates to a construction element for the thermal insulation of buildings, in particular of projecting wall parts, having an elongated insulating body of thermally insulating material and having elongated, metallic reinforcing elements which extend substantially transversely to the insulating body, passing through it, protrude laterally and are coated against corrosion or consist of corrosion-resistant materials. To increase the corrosion resistance of this construction element, provision is made according to the invention for at least some of the metallic reinforcing elements in the transition regions from the insulating body to the adjoining building or wall parts to be surrounded by a flexible protective layer. <IMAGE>

Die Erfindung bezieht sich auf ein Bauelement zur Wärmedämmung bei Gebäuden, insbesondere bei vorkragenden Wandteilen mit einem länglichen Isolierkörper aus thermisch isolierendem Material und mit länglichen, metallischen Bewehrungselementen, die sich im wesentlichen quer zum Isolierkörper, durch diesen hindurch erstrecken, seitlich vorstehen und gegen Korrosion beschichtet sind oder aus korrosionsbeständigen Werkstoffen bestehen. Zur Erhöhung der Korrosionsfestigkeit dieses Bauelements ist es erfindungsgemäß vorgesehen, daß zumindest ein Teil der metallischen Bewehrungselemente in den Übergangsbereichen vom Isolierkörper zu den angrenzenden Gebäude- bzw. Wandteilen von einer elastischen Schutzschicht umschlossen ist. <IMAGE>
