Die Erfindung betrifft eine Werkzeugmaschine mit einer Bearbeitungseinheit (14, 15), an der mindestens zwei senkrecht zueinander ausgerichtete Arbeitsspindeln (19 und 23) in zwei relativ zueinander bewegbaren Gehäusen (14 bzw 15) gelagert sind. Mittels einer durch die Bewegung des einen Gehäuses (15) relativ zum anderen Gehäuse (14) betätigbaren Schaltkupplung (26) ist eine Spindel (23) auszukuppeln.
