[origin: WO8908437A1] A seating aid for use by infirm or handicapped persons has upper and lower supports (1, 2) with an inflatable structure (7), such as a bellows structure, between the supports. When the inflatable structure (7) is inflated, for example with compressed air, the upper support (1) moves upwards and forwards and this assists a person in lowering himself onto or raising himself up from a seating position. The aid can be used, for example, with a lavatory or an easy chair.

Un auxiliaire de siège destiné aux infirmes ou aux handicapés comporte des supports inférieur et supérieur (1, 2) dotés d'une structure gonflable (7) telle qu'un soufflet situé entre les supports. Lorsqu'on gonfle la structure gonflable, avec de l'air comprimé par exemple, le support supérieur (1) se déplace vers le haut et en avant, ce qui permet à une personne de se baisser pour s'asseoir ou de se relever d'une position assise. Cet auxiliaire peut par exemple être associé à un siège de cabinet de toilette ou à un siège rembourré.
