Abstract (en)

[origin: EP0410077A2] A shoe, in particular for children, consisting of an outsole and an upper part, is to be designed in such a manner that the possibility is afforded in a simple, inexpensive and inconspicuous manner of, by regular monitoring, accurately measuring the distance remaining from the toe tips to the upper part adjoining the toe of the outsole, in order to recognise in good time whether the shoe has become too small. This is achieved in that the transparent part (3) is arranged within the outsole (1) and extends at least over the front third of the outsole (1). The front part of the transparent part (3) serves as support for calibrated markings (6, 7). <IMAGE>
