A magnet drive having at least one U-shaped magnet yoke is allocated to the moving contact of the high-speed switch. According to the invention, the magnet drive contains two U-shaped magnet yokes (20, 21) with a common central limb (22) which is at least partially surrounded by a supply line (8) to the switching path (2). The limbs (23, 24) of the one magnet yoke (20) form a slot (28) in which the switching path (2) is arranged. Provided in the scatter field of the limbs (25, 26) of the other magnet yoke (21) is a magnet armature (16), which consists of material which can be magnetised and is connected in a force-fitting manner via a drive element (19) to the moving contact (10). This high-speed switch results in a trip device, integrated in the magnet drive, for high rated currents and small forward currents with medium short-circuit currents. <IMAGE>

Dem beweglichen Schaltkontakt des Schnellschalters ist ein Magnetantrieb mit wenigstens einem U-förmigen Magnetjoch zugeordnet. Erfindungsgemäß enthält der Magnetantrieb zwei U-förmige Magnetjoche (20, 21) mit einem gemeinsamen mittleren Schenkel (22), der wenigstens teilweise von einer Zuleitung (8) zur Schaltstrecke (2) umgeben ist. Die Schenkel (23, 24) des einen Magnetjoches (20) bilden einen Schlitz (28), in dem die Schaltstrecke (2) angeordnet ist. Im Streufeld der Schenkel (25, 26) des anderen Magnetjoches (21) ist ein Magnetanker (16) aus magnetisierbarem Material vorgesehen, der über ein Antriebselement (19) mit dem beweglichen Kontakt (10) kraftschlüssig verbunden ist. Mit diesem Schnellschalter erhält man einen im Magnetantrieb integrierten Auslöser für hohe Nennströme und kleine Durchlaßströme bei mittleren Kurzschlußströmen.
