In the safety binding (2), to be mounted in pairs on a snowboard (1), each safety binding has for each boot (3) a sole-receiving plate (4) which is mounted on the snowboard (1) counter to spring force (17) about a central point so as to be rotatable in both directions of rotation about an axis disposed perpendicular to the sole-receiving plate and so as to be tiltable about any desired axis lying parallel to the sole-receiving plate (4) and interacts with a control body (18) which controls a release mechanism for a boot holder (6), arranged on the sole-receiving plate, depending on the magnitude of the movement of the sole-receiving plate (4). <IMAGE>

Bei der paarweise auf einem Snowboard (1) anzubringenden Sicherheitsbindung (2) weist jede Sicherheitsbindung für jeden Stiefel (3) einen Sohlenaufnahmeplatte (4) auf, die um einen zentralen Punkt gegen Federwirkung (17) sowohl um eine senkrecht zur Sohlenaufnahmeplatte stehende Achse in beiden Drehrichtungen drehbar als auch um jede beliebige parallel zur Sohlenaufnahmeplatte (4) gelegene Achse kippbar auf dem Snowboard (1) gelagert ist und mit einem Steuerkörper (18) zusammenwirkt, der in Abhängigkeit von der Größe der Bewegung der Sohlenaufnahmeplatte (4) einen Auslösemechanismus für eine auf der Sohlenaufnahmeplatte angeordente Stiefelhalterung (6) steuert.
