Abstract (en)
An improved suction box (10) for a papermaking or boardmaking machine includes a cover (16) having an elongated slot (18) over which a press or forming fabric (22) passes. The slot (18) has a generally zig-zag pattern to eliminate noise and to reduce wear and tear on the fabric (22).
