The casing comprises an operating lever (8), articulated on a transverse axle (13), and a mechanism (16) controlled by the lever and capable of driving two rods (17, 18) in opposite directions; each rod is equipped, at its end distant from the casing, with a bolt for bringing about a locking at a high point and at a low point respectively. The operating lever (8) comprises a unilateral stop member (19) capable of interacting with one of two complementary stops (21, 22) provided on a driving member (23) of the mechanism (16), the lever (8) being tiltable from one position to another so as to interact with the appropriate complementary stop (21, 22), in order to allow mounting equally on a door of either the "right-hand" or the "left-hand" type. <IMAGE>

Le boîtier comprend un levier de manoeuvre (8) articulé sur un axe transversal (13), et un mécanisme (16), commandé par le levier, propre à entraîner, en sens inverse, deux tringles (17, 18) ; chaque tringle est munie à son extrémité éloignée du boîtier d'un pêne pour établir un verrouillage respectivement en un point haut et en un point bas. Le levier de manoeuvre (8) comporte un organe de butée unilatéral (19) propre à coopérer avec l'une de deux butées complémentaires (21, 22) prévues sur un organe entraîneur (23) du mécanisme (16), le levier (8) pouvant être basculé d'une position à une autre pour coopérer avec la butée complémentaire (21, 22) appropriée afin de permettre indifféremment le montage sur une porte type "à droite" ou "à gauche".
