Abstract (en)
A press for compacting domestic refuse, in particular packages, containers, cans (26) or the like comprises a press plate (4) movable in a press area by means of a pedal (10) via a driving linkage. Two levers (5, 6) arranged at an angle to one another and connected to one another so as to rotate are part of the driving linkage. The one lever (6) carries a spring-mounted detent pawl (12) which engages in a ratchet wheel segment (12') of the second lever (5). Pumping pedal movements are thereby converted into angular movements of the second lever (5) in the same direction and thereafter into intermittent lifting movements of the press plate (4). A steering rack (21) arranged parallel to the press area and a ratchet (20) following the movement of the press plate (4) serve as a back-run stop. In order to allow a reverse movement of the press plate at maximum lift, a guide (23'), a flexible tongue as connecting link (23") and a slide face (22) across the steering rack (21) for moving on and lifting the ratchet (20) are provided. The ratchet (12) of the ratchet wheel segment (12'), too, has a lifting device for restoring the levers (5, 6) to their initial position. <IMAGE>

Eine Presse zum Kompaktieren von Hausmüll, insbesondere von Verpackungen, Behältern, Dosen (26) od. dgl. umfaßt eine in einem Preßraum mittels eines Pedals (10) über ein Antriebsgestänge verschiebbare Preßplatte (4). Zwei im Winkel zueinanderstehende und drehbar miteinander verbundene Hebel (5, 6) sind Teil des Antriebsgestänges. Der eine Hebel (6) trägt eine gefederte Sperrklinke (12), die in ein Klinkenradsegment (12') des zweiten Hebels (5) eingreift. Dadurch werden pumpende Pedalbewegungen in gleichgerichtete Winkelbewegungen des zweiten Hebels (5) und in weiterer Folge in intermittierende Hubbewegungen der Preßplatte (4) umgewandelt. Eine parallel zum Preßraum angeordnete Zahnstange (21) und eine der Bewegung der Preßplatte (4) folgende Klinke (20) dienen als Rücklaufsperre. Um ein Rücklaufen der.Preßplatte bei maximalem Hub zu ermöglichen sind eine Führung (23'), eine Federzunge als Kulisse (23") und eine Gleitfläche (22) über der Zahnstange (21) zum Auflaufen und Ausheben der Klinke (20) vorgesehen. Auch die Klinke (12) des Klinkenradsegmentes (12') verfügt über eine Aushebevorrichtung zum Rückstellen der Hebel (5, 6) in ihre Ausgangslage.
