An own demand supply, which has no separate own demand transformer, is obtained by means of a voltage convertor set (2; 3) whose primary windings (211, 221, 231; 311, 321) are connected to a three-phase medium-voltage network and whose secondary windings (212, 222, 232; 312, 322) are connected to input windings (41, 43, 45) of an intermediate transformer (4), the input windings (41, 43, 45) of the intermediate transformer (4) being connected in delta and the output windings (42, 44, 46) of the intermediate transformer (4) being connected in star or in zig-zag, and the own demand network of the medium-voltage switching installation being connected thereto. <IMAGE>
