Abstract (en)
A pulsed signal (200) modulates the signal from the transmitter (22) of an electronic detector so that the detection signal is constituted by a signal (201) having the frequency of the pulse signal (200) when no obstacle is found in the field of detection and that it is constituted by a signal (202) having the frequency of the receiver (23) when an obstacle is found in the field of detection. The pulsed signal thus transits the whole of the detection chain and permanently surveys the operational state of the detection chain, automatically detecting any breakdown which comes to affect the operation and making it possible for the detector to react immediately in an appropriate and reliable way. <IMAGE>

Un signal pulsé (200) module le signal de l'émetteur (22) d'un détecteur électronique de manière que le signal de détection soit constitué d'un signal (201) ayant la fréquence du signal pulsé (200) lorsqu'aucun obstacle ne se trouve dans le champ de détection et qu'il soit constitué d'un signal (202) ayant la fréquence du signal du récepteur (23) lorsqu'un obstacle se trouve dans le champ de détection. Le signal pulsé transite ainsi dans toute la chaîne de détection et surveille en permanence l'état de fonctionnement de la chaîne de détection, détectant automatiquement toute défaillance qui vient affecter ce fonctionnement et permettant au détecteur de réagir immédiatement de façon appropriée et fiable.
