In this intake duct (2) of a cylinder head (1) for an internal combustion engine a flow of gas is controlled by at least two inlet valves (4). The intake duct (2), viewed in the direction of flow, is initially a single duct (6), which then opens into two duct sections (8, 9) divided by a partition wall (7) before the inlet valves (4). In order to reduce the friction and pressure losses of the gas flow, the partition wall between the duct sections (8, 9) is designed as an optimised flow element (10) with symmetrically streamlined profile. <IMAGE>

In diesem Ansaugkanal (2) eines Zylinderkopfs (1) für eine Brennkraftmaschine wird ein Gasstrom durch wenigstens zwei Einlaßventile (4) gesteuert. Der Ansaugkanal (2) ist, in Strömungsrichtung gesehen, zunächst ein Einzelkanal (6), der dann vor den Einlaßventilen (4) in zwei durch eine Trennwand (7) geteilte Kanalabschnitte (8, 9) mündet. Um die Reibungs- und Druckverluste des Gasstroms zu reduzieren, ist die Trennwand zwischen den Kanalabschnitten (8, 9) als optimierter Strömungskörper (10) mit symmetrisch stromlinienförmigem Profil ausgebildet.
