[origin: EP0411401A2] The collapsible metal scaffolding comprises tubular uprights support-horizontal members securing metal plates. The uprights and members are secured together by connectors (2) in mating parts with recesses (9) in their faces bearing against each other so as to form a cylindrical cavity (12) gripping the end of the member (3). Other recesses (11) in these faces form a transverse opening (7) at right angles to the cavity, so as to grip the intermediate portions or ends of the uprights. Tapped transverse holes (13) accommodate screws (14) clamping the parts of the connector together.
