Abstract (en)
The comminutor according to the invention enables objects to be reduced to small dimensions while avoiding problems of rotor blockage. It comprises chiefly a casing (2) to which are fixed dead knives (20). A rotor (10) is mounted rotatably inside the casing (2) and is formed from discs carrying equal numbers of knives (12) set off at angular intervals. The knives (12) and dead knives (20) are positioned on the axis of rotation (8) and the casing (2) respectively, in such a way that a gap is left between all the lateral faces of the knives (12) and of the dead knives (20) to prevent any contact between these parts. The motor is reversible to allow the rotor (10) to be released in the event of jamming and to allow operation in both directions of rotation of the rotor (10). Le broyeur selon l'invention permet de réduire à de petites dimensions des objets, tout en évitant les problèmes de blocage du rotor. Il comprend principalement un carter (2) auquel sont fixés des contre-couteaux (20). Un rotor (10) est monté tournant à l'intérieur du carter (2) et est constitué de disques portant un même nombre de couteaux (12) décalés angulairement. Les couteaux (12) et contre-couteaux (20) sont positionnés respectivement sur l'axe de rotation (8) et le carter (2), de manière à ce qu'il subsiste un intervalle entre toutes les parois latérales des couteaux (10) et des contre-couteaux (20) pour qu'il n'y ait aucun contact entre ces éléments. Le moteur est réversible pour permettre les éventuels déblocages du rotor (10) et un fonctionnement possible dans les deux sens de rotation du rotor (10). Application sur une enceinte de manipulation au broyage d'objets contaminés radioactivement ou contenant des éléments toxiques.
