Abstract (en)

[origin: WO8910258A1] A method of manufacturing thermoplastic structures wherein the structure comprises a fiber-reinforced thermoplastic resin. The fiber reinforcement may be in the form of a woven (8) or non-woven web (7). The thermoplastic resin may be introduced therein in the form of staple fibers blended into the woven web (7b, 11) or by melt-coating (31, 33) the web (23b) or by laminating a preformed thermoplastic resin film (35, 35') to the web (23c). The latter technique allows uniform distribution of a radar-absorbing material, coated on or blended into the preformed thermoplastic film (35, 35') throughout the honeycomb.
