[origin: EP0412162A1] An electrographic image carrier comprises a metal sublayer (1), an intermediate electroconducting and stabilizing layer (2) and a photoconducting layer (3). Due to the microgranular structure of the material of the stabilizing layer (2) and to the capability of said layer (2) to undergo plastic deformation, the continuity of the composition of the photoconducting (3) and the stabilizing (2) layer is preserved.
